Photography is where I find the ultimate freedom. To speak the truth as I see it, a brutal honesty in my particular medium. I would have liked to hear what Stieglitz might have said about my work, and yet I doubt if I have the ability to withstand his brutal but honest criticisms. I no longer compare my work to other photographers, but to similar works of my own, which seems more pleasing to me every time I photograph. In that way my best photography may never be, because it will only live in my mind when I have grown to feeble to photograph.
